SWX FIX Connectivity
With this type of connectivity, the SWX Trading System does not have to be installed at the premises of the participant.
Instead, the SIX Swiss Exchange operates a Trading System Windows Server centrally for several participants.
Data is exchanged using the FIX standard protocol via a virtual private network (VPN).

For order entry and management, the participant requires a FIX-compatible application developed by the
participant itself or a third party. With an SWX FIX connection, the participant does not have access
to full functionality. This means, for example, that current market data and the order-book depth must
be obtained via a third party (Telekurs, Bloomberg, etc.).
This type of connectivity is suitable for participants who are buyers in the retail business and
already have FIX applications and FIX experience.
